Summer books competition

We have two books perfect for a summer’s day to give away this month.

Summer books competition

Butterfly Summer

Anne-Marie Conway

Butterfly Summer is a haunting tale of friendship and discovery for older children. When Becky finds an old photo in a box under her mum’s bed, everything she thought she knew comes crashing down. The only place she finds comfort is at the Butterfly Garden with her new friend, Rosa May. But is Rosa May hiding something as well? In the heat of the sun-drenched summer, it seems that Becky is the only one in the dark.

Suitable for children of 9 up.

Sunny Day

Anna Milborne and Elena Temporin

Sunny Day is a beautiful picture book about the wonder of a summer's day, and all the things to discover. The book follows two children on a sunny day as they run through a field of sunflowers, watch bees busy making honey and listen to crickets playing creaky tunes in the long, dry grass. The simple and engaging text by Anna Milborne is accompanied by the gorgeous illustrations of Elena Temporin.

Children of 2-5 will enjoy this book.

Usborne We have five copies of both books, thanks to children’s publisher of the year, Usborne Publishing.  You can find out more about both books on the Usborne website: Please let us know which one you would like to win!
